Tyree Oredein, Dr.P.H.
Health Educator & LGBTQ+ DEI Consultant
When compared to their peers, the LGBTQ+ community- especially Queer and Trans People of Color (QTPoC)- disproportionately suffer from a host of mental, physical and social health issues. The culture of homophobia and transphobia within our communities (in addition to other phobias and isms) is fueled by fear and unfamiliarity. It frequently manifests in prejudice, discrimination, bullying, and "othering" with dire consequences for populations that are already extremely vulnerable.
Dr. Oredein has more than 15 years of experience working with and advocating for LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities in schools, health providers, social service settings, and the community as a whole. She can help you create empathic, understanding, inclusive, and culturally competent spaces for our most disenfranchised communities.
